Harrison’s Hangout is a social media online environment that the Harrison team created for people of all ages to share their experiences, connect with friends and family, build communities and forums. We try very hard through implementation of strict profanity filters, content blocking filters and community reporting standards that act fast to remove content that is not in line with our strict community standards put in place to meet our goal of providing a safe and more ‘All Ages’ rated experience.

We also recognize that even the best filtering programs can miss the odd bad egg, so in addition to our strict profanity and spam blocking filters, we offer a member reporting system that acts quickly to remove content that goes against our standards. We encourage members to report any member in violation of any of our  strict standards and guarantee that we have implemented  fast acting automated response blocking on reported content. Unlike most social media platforms, when content is reported on Harrison’s Hangout, that reported content is instantly removed and held in a cue for our Harrison Hangout team to personally review.  That’s right … we personally view all reported content so we can evaluate and monitor unwanted activity.  As a result of our instant removal process though, we urge caution and responsibility in using our reporting system for situations that truly deem removal. People found abusing the reporting system and reporting members for non-valid situations may be banned from further use of our platform.  Members who are posting unwanted content or content that goes against our strict standards will also find themselves banned from Harrison’s Hangout.

Let’s face it, there are many other platforms that do not have strict policies in place and allow content that we discourage here and it is for that reason that Harrison created a spot for people who would prefer a tamed down social experience.  We encourage people who cannot follow our guidelines to refrain from participating and find a more suitable social media platform for their needs. In addition to being family oriented, Harrison’s Hangout is also structured as a platform for the creative arts.  Born from the Harrison’s Hat online novels that focus on artwork spanning various mediums and time periods, the Hangout is a place were we encourage artists of all mediums – be it painters, sculptures, musicians, actors, dancers, writers, photographers – all creative forms.  Within the Hangout you will find groups and forums that cater to the artistic and creative audience.
